SSHTool is a locally running SSH client. It does not collect, transmit, or report any personally identifiable information or usage data.

1.2 Data stored locally on your device
During normal use, the Application stores the following data only on your device. None of this data is uploaded to us or to any third-party server.

2. Network Connections
2.1 SSH/SFTP connections
As an SSH client, the Application requires network connections to provide its core functions:
- SSH terminal connections: connecting to remote servers you specify
- SFTP file transfers: transferring files between your local device and remote servers
All network connections are initiated by you and are made only to the server addresses you configure. The Application does not connect to us or to any third-party server.
2.2 No data sent back
The Application:
- Does not include analytics or statistics features
- Does not send any usage data to the developer
- Does not include advertising or tracking code
- Does not perform version checks or automatic updates outside App Store updates
3. Data Security
3.1 Encrypted storage
The Application uses multiple safeguards to protect sensitive data:
- Password storage: securely stored using the macOS Keychain
- SSH keys: securely imported and managed, with optional passphrase protection
- Local data: configuration files protected with encryption mechanisms
3.2 Application lock
The Application provides a lock-screen password feature to help prevent unauthorized access to your server profiles and connection information.
3.3 SSH connection security
The Application uses standard SSH protocols and supports:
- SSH-2 protocol
- Multiple encryption algorithms such as AES and ChaCha20
- Key-based authentication and password authentication
- Host key verification to help prevent man-in-the-middle attacks
4. Data Deletion
4.1 Ways to delete data
You can remove data stored by the Application at any time by:
- Deleting individual server profiles inside the Application
- Clearing all data in the Application settings
- Uninstalling the Application, which removes local application data
4.2 Keychain data
Passwords stored in the macOS Keychain may remain after the Application is uninstalled. You can manually remove the related entries through the Keychain Access app.
